It's been a long time since I've wanted to hang a contemporary movie poster on my wall, but this might just be the one to break my barren stretch. A beautiful design for The Dark Knight that - fittingly - has a real Dave McKean vibe to it. Check out a larger version, the detail really makes it. (via Kottke)
Film and television history is filled with fake products of all kinds. Take Big Kahuna Burger and Red Apple Cigarettes used in Quentin Tarantino films, for example. A delicious and bump up struttin' energy drink that will pump up a brotha's ass right-pronto. This swill will crank yo' metabolism up skippin' right over jiggy to straight G-pimp level, word to your mutha. Brothas will be layin' down the 2-3 on the wiggy jig focusing the energy flow into cold-face benjamins that will fill yo' pimp pockets to burstin'. Damn straight! Booty Sweat will keep a brotha pitchin' straight game all night to the baby-dolls.
I'm in agreement with our resident movie reviewer - Wall*E is fantastic, second only in my mind to The Incredibles. And kudos to the designers for a bang up job of creating the Buy N Large Corporate Website. Very well done, including the banner ads.

A couple of weeks ago we got razzed for holding Caption Competitions but never giving prizes. You think T shirts grow on trees? Pfft. Luckily, Alex at Neatorama has come to our rescue and offered to donate a free T shirt to us if we link to his store. So...
Above you see one of the T shirt designs that Neatorama sell in their new store. Personally, I think the combined might of YBNBY can come up with a much better caption for this cartoon, so have at it in the comments section below. Once we get enough entries, I'll pick the best five (as judged by me) and then let you guys vote on the winner. The prize will be any T shirt sold in the Neatorama store, and there's a bunch of cool stuff over there, so go take a look at what's on offer.
You've got till Sunday 6th to submit a caption, and we'll vote for a winner on Monday.

This week is New American Music Union week at YesButNoButYes. In conjunction with American Eagle Outfitters, we have TWO pairs of free tickets to give away to YBNBY readers for this brand new, two-day music festival taking place in Pittsburgh, PA on August 8th & 9th.
Each morning this week we'll be running a YouTube clip from one of the bands playing at the festival, including Bob Dylan, The Raconteurs, Gnarls Barkley, The Roots, The Black Keys and many more. There's also a second stage where 19 of the country's top college bands duke it out for free recording time in LA.
Full details of the festival can be found on the NAMU site. Note, this competition is for TICKETS ONLY. You'll need to make your own travel arrangements, so it's going to be ideal for someone who lives in or near Pittsburgh. Oh, and everyone who goes to the concert also gets a free limited edition T Shirt, so that's a pretty good deal.
To enter, all you have to do is send your name and mailing address to us at namutickets@yesbutnobutyes.com, and we'll pick two winners after July 4th, who will each receive two tickets.
Good luck, and meanwhile, enjoy the clip of Gnarls Barkley performimg a beautfiul arrangement of Crazy on Top Of The Pops.
