Paul Newman is reportedly dying from lung cancer. He was diagnosed at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and is receiving outpatient care.
As well as being an acclaimed actor, Newman is also the founder of Newman's Own, which offers spaghetti sauce and salad dressing. The company donates all its earning to charity, with earnings reaching more than $100 million since its creation.Newman has made major contributions to those less fortunate, including being on the board of directors for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, an organization that creates camps for terminally ill children.
Newman is 83. 83? When did Paul Newman become an old man? He was hot when I was a little girl and he's still hot now. I watched this marvelous actor in Exodus, Cool Hand Luke, The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and quite a few other movies. He only retired last year!
Newman celebrated 50 years of marriage to actress Joanne Woodward this past January. We wish him the best.
