Matt's Back, still dancing

Maybe I'm too late in posting this. It's only been on YouTube two days, but it's already got 1,125,000 views. so there's a good chance you might already have seen it.

Matt Harding returns from a 14 month, 42 country trip with another "Dancing" video. When I first read about it, I wondered if the same format as the other two would be quite as interesting a third time around, but yes, I think it is.

And full marks to Stride Gum for their continued support. I worked at Stride's agency when the second video came out. The creatives there were pretty underwhelmed with this, preferring instead to create the Stride Factory TV spots, and only begrudgingly featuring a small link to it on the website. Luckily in this case, the marketing department at Cadbury-Adams had a far better sense of what makes great marketing than their agency seemed to. Not sure how much of Matt's trip they funded (hopefully every single penny) but 1.125m views in 2 days is a hard thing to fault.

For anyone that's been living under a rock the last few years, the first two videos are after the jump

I love these videos and I'm glad he's made another.

I wonder if the "Happy Dance" bits sponsored by Snuggle fabric softener on Fox TV's "So You Think You Can Dance" might have found some inspiration from these videos. There's even a contest for viewers to submit videos of themselves doing happy dances to win tickets to the show's finale.

Also, it is kinda funny to me that the other big sponsor of the dance show is Wrigley Gum (who does not make Stride). Should people chew gum while dancing or is that present a choking hazard? :-)

I suppose I've been living under a rock; I have never seen these. Great though posting them here, they're awesome!

I've been living under the same rock as pet...I've never seen these. The third one got me all choked up...and no, I'm not kidding.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't mean to offend anyone with that "under the rock" comment. It's sometimes hard to know whether to feature something I suspect might have been widely seen already. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

His best one yet.

Thanks for posting this.

And it was great he got Mexico and Canada in this time.
