I used to race bikes back in the 70's and 80's. Bicycle racing is a bit dangerous and yes, cars and trucks are dangerous. Horrible accidents and cycling for competition has gone hand in hand since the two have occupied the same amount of road space. The only safe bicycle competiton is when the road is closed off to vehicular traffic. Even then crashes occur from the cyclist's running into each other or dogs chasing them.

Mr. T-
When you raced bikes back in the 70's did your bike have a banana seat with a bell attached to the handlebars? Did you have those neat colored streamers hanging off the handlebar grips as well? Did your bike have one of those cool license plates that said AWESOME! on it?
I bet that's why you got chased by dogs.
That's so obviously photoshopped. You'd have to be drunk and asleep to run over a bike race.
Oh, he was.

Dave,
You ignorant tool. I know you want to brag about your knowledge of cycling. I guess that is the extent of it. I was licensed by the USCF and competed at levels I, II & III. I daresay your ignorance is only exceeded by your stupidity. Take your pick.
Dave, I actually did have a bike somewhat like that. Even better, I used to put baseball cards on them so the spokes would hit them as the tire went around. BRRRRR. (Well, you get the idea.)

That is just horrific. As Johnny said, it's like a train wreck... you simply can't look away, even if you wanted to.
D'oh!
Ouch. This is horrible.
On the other hand, never play chicken with a Ford LTD, no matter how many Ten Speeds you got.
I can't stop looking at this.
I think I see a helmet and a shoe flying through the air. Is that a shoe? I think it's a shoe.
I also count seven bikes. We need some backstory on this one.
