Yes, he seems to be a fine facsimile of the Spock we all know and love. Cinemaroll has a side-by-side comparison of the actors in the original Star Trek series and the younger actors who will play them (as younger characters) in the new movie. Do they measure up as far as looks go? Kirk, yes, Uhura, yes, McCoy, yes, Sulu, no, Chekhov, no. You may disagree.

Sorry 'bout that! It's fixed now. I've had all kinds of problems with the back end here today. I'm shocked that anything has worked!
Drats! That damned Sylar is going to go around removing Kirk and company's scalps like he does in Heroes.
At least have the decency to NOT flop the image so the chest symbol os on the wrong side - anyone looking at it can only go...that dont look right....
Is it just me, or does the new Kirk look kind of, uh, "special"?
oh puke, I’ll not be seeing this new movie….
Uhura and Spock . . . YES . . . well done ... and Kirk (Shatner will always be better looking), maybe.
All the others ….. pretty much … wtf? Its like they gave up… half way through casting.
I like Simon Pegg, but not as Scotty …. huh?
Urban as McCoy, only if he can act the most difficult part appropriately.
George Takei is an extremely handsome man …… John Cho is frightfully plain and whoreish …. please respect Sulu/Takei, please
And Keckov ……. please just kill the ugly, strungout-looking, horribly un-fitting actor they have picked, so that it cannot happen!!!!!! p-lease …. or at least cast him in a Power Rangers show, he’d fit that crap much better….
Or hey, Hollywood exec idiots, why don’t you make something original, take a chance on new writing, stories and concepts ……. and i’m not talking about more Janeway BS …. ya dig?
Seriously …… WTF

Thanks MissCellania!!!!
I can't believe they are holding out on revealing the red shirt guy. I'm hoping they cast Tom Lommel. He looks just like a younger version of that one guy who died really early in that one episode. Of course, everyone will know that he can't die in the movie, since it is a younger version of himself, unless the plot revolves around a rip in the space-time continuum, which, as we all know, would never happen in a Star Trek movie.
Typical Hollywood casting: "Hey Shirley... JUST HOW GAY CAN WE CAST THIS MOVIE???"
