Shake Shack. Old Towne. Better Burger. Smith and Wollensky. Nope.

The best burger in NYC is apparently from Harry's at Water Taxi. (A nice honor for a restaurant that's opening this weekend.) Dish du Jour Magazine held the contest that pitted 7 burger joints from each of the 5 boroughs and had a panel of local celebrity judges sample the creations.

NY Magazine was crucial of the contest saying "One burger was slathered with blue cheese, rendering taste -- and nearly breathing -- impossible; another was so salty we almost experienced renal failure." Although they thought the double-bacon cheeseburger from Joe's
was "a model of fast-food greatness." That being said, Harry's got to be happy to have won the crown. Looks like tourists have a new destination on their travels to the Big Apple.
