Skinny money-honey Eva Longoria is selling fatty ice cream bars to European ladies. With the help of some slick web design you kiss those hips bye bye.

Video Game Reviews: For The Video Game Generation
3 Comments
I'm too old for video games. At least according to my parents, my girlfriend, my roommates, my priest, and the haberdasher down the block. But how old is too old for video games? No generation before mine has had to deal with being born during the video game boom and finding themselves in their late 20's and still playing. I don't consider them a waste of time, I consider myself leading the charge. Blazing a new frontier. If only I could get that orange Cheeto stain off my fingers.

Because we're defining history here, we need to accept that video games are here to stay and many of them are cinematic in their scope. And with that, we need real video game reviewers. The Eberts and Shallots are starting to pop up, but we've also got a funny, and British (and therefore highly articulate and smart sounding) critic in Yahtzee. He's like the Neil Cumpston of the video game world. For a few more videos, continue reading or check them all out at The Escapist.

A Pound of Flesh

My mom always told me she'd disown me if I got a tattoo. And I think I found a work-around. Who needs a tattoo when you can have a design carved into your skin? This practice really exists and it kind of freaks me out. Continue reading for more images. (Note, most of these images are pretty damn graphic, so if you have a weak stomach or just finished breakfast, you might want to skip them. You've been warned. Seriously, I'm not kidding.)

Countdown to the NY Comic Convention
0 Comments
busy-busy-busy.jpg

Tomorrow I'll be heading out to the New York comic convention, which in the last couple of years has grown to almost San Diego-like proportions. I'll be taking photos from the floor to bring you all a flavor, but in the meantime, three comic related links that I've been saving to get you in the mood:

  • truth serum (from which the above strip is taken) - great art combined with bizarrely mundane superhero situations.
  • Heroes and Villains - a portrait gallery of notable emerging and established artists in the Underground art scene, Graffiti and Alt-Comic Book worlds.
  • Fleep - an expansive free online comic telling the story of a man trapped in a phone booth (which is kind of timely this week).
