Catching up with The Magic Garden

I never cared for Mr. Roger's as a kid, but that's because I loved hippie chicks Paula and Carol. They were the hosts of The Magic Garden which ran locally in New York (WPIX) in the 70s and 80s. It was a trippy show with colorful sets, chuckling flowers, a story box, tree swing and a big tree which housed a bright pink squirrel named Sherlock. Turns out Carole Demas and Paula Janis are still together singing, performing and hawking copies of their old shows.

"...So long. Farewell. I hope you had a good, good time. See ya."

This was my favorite show when I was a kid. Probably my first boy crush on Carole, I guess? Which one is which?

That's Carol. She's the hot one. My crush too.

Still one of the best children shows ever made. That Sherlock used to get into sooooo much trouble, total acid trip. I bought my mom the VHS tapes a few years ago for her grandkids, they love it.
