Check out Chris Wallace calling out Fox & Friends on how they've been twisting Barack Obama's words. Outstanding!!! Kudos to Mr. Wallace for pointing out how blatantly biased & misleading their reporting was. This single video clip almost makes up for his being on Faux News all these years. Now, all he has to do is join a real network and all is forgiven.
PS: Check out the blonde's expession at the end of the clip...priceless.
PPS: I'm very happy.

biased & misleading???
"typical white person"????
let any one say anything about a "typical black person" and see what you get . . .
Hey Brian, the quote was:
a typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, you know, there's a reaction that's been bred in our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that's just the nature of race in our society."
Try not living in soundbites, ok dude.
Jellio,
It really does not matter what the the whole quote was. He has grossly generalized white peoples reaction to black people. This gets down to the heart of the matter. Obama has been listing to people like Rev. Wright for 20 years and now sees all white people as generally racist. Obama is not above all the this crap. Although he would love you to think that. He is not. He will keep saying this kind of thing until the last white person in American votes for him out of guilt for being a white rich racist .
I really don't understand. Do you think Obama would start some black power takeover thing once he got in office. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to work with all sorts of people. So maybe, for once, we'd have a politician who tried to bring both sides together, instead of all the partisan crap. But you want to end it because of who his preacher is, or maybe he said one thing not as delicately as it could have been said. I mean...not enough experience...I get. Don't like his healthcare plan...fine. But please, stop all the racial bullshit. No one cares.
Oh and for the record, ask someone in New Orleans if they'd rather have a politician who forgot about them when they were losing everything, or one that misspoke in a speech, and see what answer you get.
Jellio,
I did read the entire quote. In fact, I have listened to the entire speech.
But as to your comment "please, stop all the racial bullshit"
Seriously, Barack Obama basically called all white people racist. THAT is racial bullshit!
So he starts back peddling and his campaign states ""Barack Obama said specifically that he didn't believe his grandmother harbored any racial animosity, but that her fears were understandable and typical of those often shared by her generation"
So now it only OLD white people that are racist!!!
Jellio,
All politicians tell tell their constituents that they wont be partisan like the politics of the past. Do they ever end up doing it? No. In fact his ideology is just as rigid as Bush just far left. I understand that you agree with his ideology but there are allot of people who do not agree. So the idea that he will bring people together is naive.
As to the idea that Obama did not say what he meant to say is funny because the media and all the supporters of Obama keep on telling us that he is the most gifted communicator that has ever graced God's green earth. So how does he not mean what he says when he says it. He is not Bush.
Lastly to say that the mans Pastor does not have any baring on his fundamental world view and the way he would run the country is ridicules. Unless he is just pretending to be a Christian to win the presidency.
Thanks for the spirited debate!
a) According to the Library of Congress, in his first year alone, Senator Obama authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427, many of which were with Republican co-sponsors. And really, if we're just going to give up and say they'll all be partisan, than what's the point.
b) We're going to discount dozens of brilliant speeches on just about every subject because of one ill advised phrase, "typical white person"? Doesn't seem fair.
c) If we're going to judge politicians by the liturgical company they keep, you might want to keep your eye on the right side of the room. Some of those nuts make Obama's pastor look like Mahatma fucking Ghandi.
d) I enjoy a good debate, also. And so far, no one's called anybody a douchebag. That might be some sort of record for my posts :)
Dear white people who disagree with Obama's statement,
Drive around the ghetto with you doors unlocked. If you have to resist the urge to lock them at red lights, you lose the argument.
Also, the statement "bread into EXPERIENCES" implies that such behavior may not be unfounded.
The only way that statement could be construed as divisive is that it seems to separate groups of people with disparate listening and reading comprehension skills.
You wanna talk douchebags - write something about Ralph Nader.
It pains me to say it, but that's about the most real media debate I've seen in a long time. I would love to have seen this sort of argument on CNN sometime, sort of a reality check fistfight.
I wish Anderson Cooper had come on the air at some point during Katrina and argued that, "Hey, wait a minute...exactly how many rapes and murders are physically occurring in the Superdome? Oh, none? Maybe, uh, yeah, we should stop reporting that there have been rumors of 'some to a lot.'"
This sort of thing is good for Fox News, but once is not enough. All the news networks should do this commonly, instead of only on those weird days when some anchor gets a wild hair.
hussein obama is a machiavellian manchurian islamic candidate. he oozes anti-americanism, his pastor and religious leader curses america's name, he openly supports hamas, and carries a double standard when it comes to racism.
he is a popularist much like hitler or chavez.
he is not someone we should elect.
he is jesse jackson version 2.0 and a crossover between louis farrakhan and sadam hussein.
i hope america speaks loud and clear and elects someone that respects this nation with a little bit of humility.

hey yesbutnobutyesbutnobutyes - i just have to say a BIG THANK YOU FOR POSTING MY COMMENT, i really thought that you would not post it being biased or whatever but you have yet again shown how cool you guys are - just throwing props at ya for being objective and fair in this regard only :)
