This is the kind of assignment I fantasize about: travel the nation and eat sandwiches to find out which is the best. Esquire has published their list of The Best Sandwiches in America. Some are to die for. The Bánh Mì from the Saigon Sandwich Shop in San Francisco is a French baguette and Vietnamese barbecued pork, sprinkled with shredded carrots, onions, jalapeños, and cilantro. Om nom nom. That’s just my opinion. You may be more inclined to try the battered deep-fried peanut butter and jelly with powdered sugar, or the grilled lobster and cheese. But be warned, this list of the best includes the McRib sandwich from McDonalds.
