So Tina Fey was right...Bitch IS the new Black.
You probably saw clips this weekend of Hillary losing it over two brochures the Obama campaign mailed out in Ohio. (From what I've read, both brochures made valid points) Then on Sunday, she turned to mocking his oratorical style in a very over-the-top manner (clip after the jump). Don't know if this new tactic will work, but it sure will make tomorrow's debate more interesting. And there's a long way to go until the convention.
But here's the thing. I'm an Obama supporter, but lately, the more I think about Obama as President, the more I think about him being an Illinois state senator just three years ago. And that may be fine. It's great to have someone outside the system, he's already done some great things for congressional ethics reform, and he's got great plans for health care, the economy, the environment, etc. But I keep coming back to foreign relations, and how he'll deal with other countries. And it may be stupid, but I keep thinking of Obama in a room with Putin, a guy that worries me more with every Russian protestor that winds up having an unexplained heart attack, and I wonder what the meeting would be like. On the flip side of that coin, I remember Hillary's recent comment about Putin "not having a soul" and Putin actually responding to her quote with "at a minimum, heads of state should have a head", and I think that meeting would be a tricky, too. So, I'm basically more confused as the days go by. One Obama's best traits is that he brings people together, but tough goes a long way.
So what do people out there think? Last time we had a poll about the election, the overwhelming winner of projected Presidential race was Obama vs. McCain. So to the Obama supporters out there...why do you think he would be a good President. Same question to the Hillary supporters...and the McCain supporters, too. I'd like to hear what everyone thinks, because i don't think my mind is made up yet.

maybe i am the only one who does this, but every time i vote, i never really like the candidate i'm voting for. i just hate them less than the others. so for me to answer your question, i'd have to just tell you why i hate clinton so much as opposed to telling you why i like obama.
I was mostly amused watching the yes man behind Hillary in the first video. He starts out by being her "shadow," turning when she turns. Then it seems he becomes aware of what he's doing, and makes a conscious effort to stop himself. I can hear the gears grinding: "must...not....turn...left!"
Be careful to note that while she lambastes Obama for not playing fair, she does nothing to deny the claims in the brochures...
Every candidate has their shortcomings. The thing is that many (dare I say most) people will vote based on issues that have nothing to do with their qualifications for the office. Clinton is a very polarizing person. There would be a swing of voters toward McCain voting not for him, but against Clinton. I think, barring the unforeseen, McCain wins against Clinton, loses to Obama.
Personally, I dont think ANY candidate from any party is qualified this time around..... so:
Putting Hillary or Obama in a room with Putin (or any other of the group of entrenched dictators) is going to be like putting a 6-year-old in a room with a bunch of rowdy 12-year-olds.
Hillary or Obama will get pushed around, ordered around, sneered at and told what to do. Smiles when the door opens and everybody will look happy, but the 6-year-old ain't gonna come out on top.
I don't expect any better from McCain, either... he's scarier since he acts like he has a chip on his shoulder.
