A speculative story about Mike Bloomberg joining Obama as VP stole the front page of my newspaper this morning. A huge photo of pop-tart Nicole Richie was featured on page 3. Yet tucked in a sidebar story, way in the back pages, was this shocker.

The laws passed after 9/11 were supposed to force flight schools to clear their students, both foreign and American, with background checks. But it seems that lack of oversight and manpower from the TSA has meant thousands of people have not been checked.
And to think that tense feeling in my stomach was almost gone for good.

This lack of enforcement doesn't surprise me coming from this administration. First FEMA, then the FSA meanwhile BUsh is asking for more money for the war.
