Hey Kids, Garanimals have returned
garanimals.jpg

If you were a child of the 1970's or early 80's than you may remember Garanimals. A mix and match clothing line that claimed to build self-confidence by teaching young kids to dress themselves. The gimmick was simple, to make an outfit kids matched the animals on the tag - lions pants with lion shirts, monkey skirts with monkey tops, etc.

When the brand was big Dr. Joyce Brothers was the main spokeslady. She went around the local talk show circuit telling parents that their kids would become model citizens if they learned to dress themselves with Garanimals. (So that's where my parents went wrong.)

Well now nostalgia fans, Garanimals is making a comeback with a revamped ad campaign, website and inexpensive price point. The matching idea still exists with updated styles, colors and a few new animal characters.

No word yet on a line extension to help coordination-challenged adults.

Super Tuesday
pub_notworking.gif In 2006, my New Jersey household was deemed important enough to warrant a robocall from Joe Piscopo. Joe hasn't called this election cycle, but I did learn something from a less-celebrated auto-dialer (some local politician): registered NJ independents can vote in either primary. Figured I'd pass it along to the large audience of YesButNoButYes-reading, NJ-living, registered independent voters unaware of this clause. There's gotta be at least one of you. By the way, the "Labour Isn't Working" ad has nothing to do with tomorrow's election. Just a good ad, that's all.

The Bacon Pig
450_bacon_pig_06.jpg
Carl Huber created the ultimate pork dish for Superbowl Sunday. It’s a pig made out of, um, pig.
As pointed out at the Superbowl party, this is going to be like a turducken of pork! A pork-pork-porken, if you will (I will).

Meat is neat. I don't eat much meat, but when I do I make it count. Heck yeah. I took the pork hot dog, encased it in ground pork, and wrapped it in bacon. I crafted an amount for the head and even made little pork feet too!

Complete instructions and more pictures are at TheWAREHOUSE.

The Wire rewind Season 5, episode 5

Marlo makes his play for Omar. Omar takes the bait but escapes into thin air....Just like Michael Myers.

Clay Davis is indicted, gets pissed but realizes he's got to take one for the team. Shhiiiiiitttt!

Bubbles finds out he's HIV negative much to his dismay.

Herc stands up and coughs up Marlow's cell phone.

The Baltimore Sun runs wild with the serial killer story. McNulty plays along but also digs his grave a little deeper. However, it gets the wire up and running. This can't end well for McNulty.
