Course you'll have to move to Yonkers. And submit a video why you should win.
From 7 ABC news: A developer in Yonkers is turning to YouTube to drum up tenants for a new 10-story luxury building with an online contest called “I gotta Move.”
Why Youtube? According to a spokesperson “We're looking to attract…the right demographic who uses YouTube.” Translation: Single Income no kids (SINKs).
So all you cool twenty somethings who, for some reason, want to forgo the pulse of Manhattan and bop to the beat of Yonkers, check out 66 main.
Of course this 10 story construction has all the features of the new buildings: Concierge, indoor parking, roof deck, wireless, 24/7 security, W/D, views, blah, blah. Then again it’s in Yonkers. Which is where the “I gotta move” contest comes in. First they posted this spot on Youtube. (375 hits to date. Hire a new PR firm me thinks.)
It links to the 66Main contest site which houses all you need to know. Including 32 reasons why you should move to Yonkers. One of which is “Bop to sweet music at the Yonkers Riverfest.” (Were 'Boogy' and 'Get Down' also considered?) None of which explains why Yonkers is truly worth moving to. Unless you've got a budget. Look at the price of the rentals: You can get a big, new 1 bedroom for about $1900 and a even bigger 2 BR for $2600. Ah, maybe Yonkers is worth a look.
If you’re so inclined, prospective tenants are being urged to submit a video explaining why they need a new place to live. The winner gets $3,366 in rent money and credits. Entry form is here.
Happy living.

So that's what, one month's rent?
About 1 months rent and credit towards security deposit or month 2.
I could use a month in Yonkers, even though I'm not a SINK (and why should they care how many jobs I have?) and I ain't twentysomething, 'cause that would give me time to find a place I could afford. But I read the rules. You have to sign a one-year lease if you win.
One month or one year in Yonkers - I don't think either is worth it.
Yonkers has improved over the last few years. And besides, who can afford to live in Manhattan anymore?
