I keep seeing posts about The Wire here, but y’all never explained what it's about. Now I know; it’s a crime drama! But it’s on HBO, which I don’t have. And won’t, til I get a real job. But HBO wants new viewers, so they’ve condensed the first four seasons into one convenient video.

Thanks for this. & sorry Miss C for the lack of explanations from my Wire posts but it's not the type of show that someone can start watching in season 5. It's so much more interesting and brilliant when you start from Episode 1. Good news is seasons 1-4 are out on DVD. So you can head on to any video store and dig into The Wire. A few people, like Evil Rich, are doing that now. You won't regret it.
