Alright, here's a little story about how blog posts get created. Last week, we here at YesBut had a fun, little dog costume competition, to pick an official Halloween mascot. The contest lasted about a few days, and in the end, a dog dressed as Princess Leia beat out this awesome Nun Dog (I wanted the nun...oh well)
So, now what do we do with a Leia Dog? I thought there might be a good Leia list idea in there somewhere, so I start googling "girls dressed as Leia". To my dismay, I don't find many cool Leia sites, but I do come across certain "Girls dressed like this" and "Girls dressed like that" sites. You know, the kind of sites I don't really want to link to (not until we start getting really desperate, anyway). Then I start searching for other phrases..."Girls doing, women eating, girls having...basically a girl and a verb. And you know what I found? Porn...lots of porn.
But in between the thousands of porn links, I started noticing certian unique sites...little nuggets of comedy gold, actually. I'm talking about some pretty interesting stuff. The kind of sites that make you think...you know what, I'm not going outside today...there are some strange people out there. Actually, Scaramouch teased us with this idea about a month ago, when he found a site dedicated to girls wearing seatbelts. (coincidentally, that site is down now, which makes me think the guy's finally in custody), but I thought the subject needed to be explored further. So I searched until I found ten (because that's the official Internet list length) and I present them to you, here...enjoy.
Stop Clown Porn Now
Ok...granted...clown porn is definitely the most un-unique entry on this list. You don't think that's true? Well google the phrase "clown porn" and take a stroll through the 1.3 million listings that come up. But here's the thing...we're dealing with a list that contains the words "funny" and "fetish" in the title. If there happens to be be a category with the words "clown" and "porn'", it pretty much has to be included by default. To ease the pain, I chose the site Stop Clown Porn Now to represent the category. Funny thing is, I don't think they're doing a whole lot to stop it.
Japanese Girls with Big Shoes
This is the first of a couple sites on the list, that may or may not be fetish sites. Japanese Girls with Big Shoes is a page on a site by a guy who took a trip to Japan in 2000. And of all the images he could use to document his trip on his site, he chose a collection of shots of cute Japanese girls wearing big, chunky hi heel boots. Nope...I must be mistaken,,,nothing kinky about that.
Girls Eating Sandwiches
This is the first of a few "Dude...you're kinda wacky" sites on the list. Girls Eating Sandwiches is pretty much exactly what it claims to be. But what I really like about the site is the variety on display. Hoagies, Rolls, finger sandwiches, wraps...the guy is definitely dedicated to the craft. All in all, an inspired collection, but I'll bet this one is his favorite. Nothing like a little mayo to get you through the day.
My Balloon Fetish
Fair warning...My Balloon Fetish is a bit on the NSFW side, but you don;t really need to go to the site to get it. Lot's of balloons...lots of hot women...lots of fun. But you wouldn't believe how big a thing this is...almost as big as clown porn. And the best part...it's got a name. If you're into balloon sites, you're apparently a Looner. How friggin' great is that? So what's the deal with this whole circus thing...first clowns, now balloons. Come to think of it, I should've looked up jugglers and trapeze acts. Oh well...next list, maybe.
Sneezing Babes
This one's just outright nutty. Sneezing Babes is a collection of images of women (and men) sneezing and blowing their noses...Oh...my...God. I took a look at one page after the 18 year old thing (research for the list), and I have to admit, they practice what they preach...plenty of pics of people sneezing and blowing their noses. That's all I'm gonna say about this one. I feel unclean.

We now come to the site included on the list mainly to class up the joint. Babes With Books is one of my favorites...because of the dedication to higher learning...sure. But mostly because it's a site with nothing but babes with books. And you have to appreciate the honesty of it all. According to the site, smart girls are hot, and they feature nothing but pictures of attractive literate females . How's that for a "Kids, stay in school" message. At YesBut, we're all about the kids.
The Slave Leia Appreciation Society
Yup...I lied. I know I said I didn't find any sites when I searched for Leia. Then again, you believed me. Any way, of all the sites I found, where Leia is an object of great admiration, I thought The Slave Leia Appreciation Society would work best as spokes-site for the bunch...mainly for the name (it's got a ring to it), but also for the sheer density of Slave Leia shots. (I also hadn't used a Flickr page yet) I don't even wanna think what I would've had to include if the nun dog had won the contest.
Headph0ne Phet1sh
So DJ's are perverts...who knew. But the site begs to differ with that statement. According to Headph0ne Phet1sh...you won't find any explicitly sexual images on the site, as this fetish tends be more orientated towards an aesthetic appreciation of ladies in headphones, rather than the more run-of-the-mill "wearing the fetish object during sex" sort of thing. (to say nothing of the cord getting in the way) And they appear to have quite the following. I mean, isn't it funny how there are things out there, that so many people are in to, but the majority of people are oblivious to it all. It's like I told Michael Vick a while back, these fight nights are gonna be big one day. That's why I make lists...just trying to help out.
Women Wearing Spacesuits
That's right, I said Women Wearing Spacesuits. And you may ask...how, by any stretch of the imagination, is this not #1? Well, truth is, I'm not sure it's a fetish site. You may then ask a follow-up question...then why is it on the list? And I'll ask...did you not hear what I said? It's a collection of pictures of women wearing spacesuits...something ain't right, here. I know it may be a site dressed up to look like someone has an appreciation for science fiction films. But you know what I say...it's a collection of WOMEN WEARING SPACESUITS...that's odd, no matter how you slice it.
Tea Birds
And finally, we come to my hands-down favorite. Tea Birds is the clear winner for so many reasons. First of all there's such a duality to the whole concept. The sipping tea part is so refined and elegant, but the process of collecting photos of girls sipping tea is so, um...not. Then there's the specificity of it all. He couldn't go with girls sipping hot beverages. No...he had to have tea...like it's a Benny Hill production, or something. Don't you get the feeling that if he and the seatbelt guy went on a roadtrip through the English countryside, they'd have a blast? Makes the headphones guy seems like an amatuer. Anyway...here's to you, tea girl watcher. You're one nutty mother f'er. You've earned your place atop the funny fetish site list.

I might be wrong, but that "Girls Eating Sandwiches" seems to be very reminiscent of a series of strips in the internet comic "Achewood" where the girlfriend of one of the characters is surreptitiously filmed eating sandwiches, which film is then posted on the internet.

I know this list was intended to be humorous, but I think it exposes a double standard in the acceptance of fetishes—namely, that they're okay as long as they fit the heterosexual matrix. Singling out the Furries for a different (and distinctly less good-natured) kind of lampooning is, I think, unfair. I'm not trying to claim that the Furries are not a sexual fetish group (they clearly are, among other things), just that I find the post's throwaway joke a little bit strange.
