A light-hearted comparison.
The Smart Car launches in the US next year. I'm not so sure "Smart" is the right moniker, perhaps "Cuddly." Anyway, they're marketing this tiny vehicle as an environmentally friendly, fuel-efficient alternative for our green conscious climate. Kind a like the Velomobile.
Lets have a little fun comparing the two.
In this corner the Smart Car: 3 cylinder. 71 HP engine. 4 wheels. 2 doors. Top speed 75mph. Lockable glove compartment. Coin holder. Easy to parallel park. And more.
Starts at $16,500

In this corner Steve's homemade Velomobile Aurora: Human powered. Enclosed drive train. 3 20"wheels. Mechanical disk brakes. Top speed 30 mph-ish. Horn. Storage for overnight bag. Sustainable transportation. And more.
About $6,900
A little demonstration of both vehicles.
Thanks for playing. Which would you rather spend your cash on?
