Chocolate review: Caramellow from Hotel Chocolat

For the past two weeks, i've been munching os a HUGE slab of "Caramellow", a new chocolate from a company called Hotel Chocolat who've recently launched in the US after establishing themselves in the UK. As some of you may remember, I'm a bit of a Milk Chocolate snob, having written a lengthy review of my favorite Milk Chocolates. So - even though I got a free sample to review - I decided I was going to tell the truth whatever that may be.

The slab they sent me - and slab is the word, a huge block almost Letter sized, of Caramellow - looks like it's been swirled while melted with caramel, and toffee, and - well, i'm not sure. But it's decadent, and luxurious, and I have to say - EXCELLENT milk chocolate. Creamy, sweet, with a hint of coffee and nutmeg. Almost a little smoky, but without the bitterness of a dark chocolate. Stating the obvious, this is a pretty good Secret Santa gift.

Actually to be honest, I wish they'd sent me some of the Liquid Chocolate or the Purist range, which i would liked to compare to the vintage single bean bars that Chocolove make, and got my highest score last time. But nevertheless, highly recommended.
