I hate to be the first one to point this out, but I feel I must. There's a 600 pound gorilla in the room...a big drunken one, with baked bean breath and a bad accent...and we have to do something about it. That's right, I'm talking about all the winning Boston teams. I know it seems unlikely. I mean, the chances of two Boston teams doing well in the same year is like having two Ben Affleck flicks up for the same oscar. But three Boston teams winning their championships? (Sox, Pats and Celtics...it could happen) Well...that's actually in the Book of Revelations as being one of the signs of the Apocalypse. Throw in the unthinkable notion of the Bruins stepping up at the same time, and you've got the same effect as Ray and Egon crossing the streams...you know, dogs and cats living together.,.mass hysteria....seriously bad stuff.
So please, I don't mean to alarm anyone. it's still just a faint posibility. But please, at least once a day, pray for world peace, and for all Boston teams to lose all games, all the time.
Thank you.

Hey, good luck with A-Fraud for 10 more years. I would think the Skankee's resigning him and firing Torre would be your first sign of the coming apocalypse. I'll take bean breath and championship trophies over playoff chokes and your NY sense of entitlement any time. Face it, NY sports teams are choking on their own self importance and Bostonians are enjoying every second.
World peace, shmorld peace...I think general happiness in the New England area is what we're really digging...Go (insert new england team here)!
accept the number of the beast. it will be easier for you in the end.
Here's a simple solution: play better than the Pats, Celtics and Sox. If your teams can't do it, dry your eyes and get over it. Praying for a team to lose is pathetic.
Oh, boo hoo, Boston fans have been the lovable losers for years, now that we are winning everyone cries and moans...by the way, you forgot about Boston College.....
It's not just the NFL, the NBA and MLB: apparently the MLS Boston team just went to the MLS championship and Boston College is playing well in college football.
The worlds have aligned towards Boston for some reason. Be jealous.
Actually, to the poor sports above, thanks for proving the rest of the country right. NE fans can't lose well and they can't win well. They may have bragging rights now but remember that what goes up must come down and the rest of the country will enjoy watching the fall unless NE fans can learn some sportsmanship. Living in NE has actually made me dislike the teams, primarily because their fans are such whiners.
Beforeafall: Thank you for the insight. I thought once a team (or teams in this case) is on top it stays that way. I was wondering why the Bulls and Cowboys stopped winning championships. Jordan and Aikman won't return my emails. Now I know!!
