This was a big week for Second Life, as CSI: NY kicked off a 4-month tie-in with the virtual world on Wednesday's episode that leads viewers to a CSI: NY experience in Second Life. The cliffhanger episode airs in February, but it is unclear whether the audience participation in Second Life will affect the resolution of the story.

Having spent some considerable time inside Second Life, I preferred The Office's take last night:

Dwight: "Second Life is not a game, it is a multi-user, virtual environment. It doesn't have points or scores, it doesn't have winners or losers."

Jim: "Oh it has losers."
