After winning an Oscar and a Nobel Peace Prize, what’s next for Al Gore? Some still want him to join the presidential race, but why would any sane man (or woman) subject himself to that? It could damage the sense of humor of a lesser man.

Gore didn't win an Oscar. He may have been a large part of the movie, but he personally didn't win it.
Well, if you want to parse little peanuts of statements, yes he didn't win the oscar, David Guggenheim did. However, that's not seeing the forest for the trees. The movie was about GORE'S SMEGGING GLOBAL WARMING SPEECHES. If it weren't for Gore's inspiration as Guggenheim so clearly stated that Oscar night, the film would have never been made. So you can definitely say in essence, the Oscar does belong to Gore.
I wish there were fine parsers and analyzers of what was truthful during our run up to the Iraq War. Or during the election of 2000. Then we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place!
