20 Days to Thrill The World

In case you didn't realize, October 27th 2007 is Thrill The World, an attempt to stage the largest ever recreation of MJ's Thriller. There are instruction videos on YouTube, and I figure that gives you all enough time to learn how. I'm trying to find out where the New York event will take place (if you know, drop us an email) so we can be there to document it on video. Any readers out there who want to meet up to form a YBNBY contingent, let me know.

UPDATE

It always amazes me when it turns out someone reads this blog:) Less than 12 hours after posting this, I got an email from Cameron telling me all about the New York Thrill The World group. You can read about it here. I'm going to try and be at the event to take some pics if I can.

The devastating effects of global warming

Thanks to Rachel, who sent this to me saying "it fits in well with YBNBY". Not quite sure what she means by that, but still. I think this is what Al Gore meant by inconvenient truths.

Art imitates Art

So, congrats to Sony Bravia on the bunnies and all that, except maybe it wasn't such an original idea after all. For those with no Flickr account, here's what's behind that link...

Its hard to think that people at Passion Pictures did not have this early panoramic of ours in mind when they created this new spot for the SONY Bravia line.

To add insult to injury, someone representing Passion Pictures contacted us almost two years ago asking to see samples of our work (including this panoramic) as they were interested in working with us. We sent them samples and then heard nothing from them ever again. (It should be noted though, that the more likely culprit is the ad firm who hired Passion Pictures, Fallon)

Triumph of the Will -the Director's Cut

This rare director's cut of Triumph of the Will (German: Triumph des Neger) is a propaganda film by the German filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl. It chronicles the Nazi getting fonky at Nuremberg. The film contains excerpts from rhymes kicked by various Nazi leaders at the Congress, including dat Brooklyn flava by Adolf Hitler, interspersed with footage of splifted party members.

I would’ve included this in the Disco Hitler collection (even though it's not disco), if it had been created just a little sooner.
