We're the United States...Aren't we supposed to take the moral high ground in situations like these? That's what I keep thinking, as I see more and more images of protestors asking Columbia how they could possibly give a forum to this animal.
No one's saying Ahmadinejad isn't a world class jerk...he could be giving aid to Iraqis who are killing American soldiers, and he doesn't think the Holocaust happened (neither does Mel Gibson) and he wants Israel to just go away. But this isn't about him...it's about us. Especially at a University where students are taught to constantly ask questions, not to turn away when the situation doesn't suit you.
I saw a clip this weekend of Republican Senator Chuck Hagel being questioned about this, and he responded "Why wouldn't you want to allow these people to speak, and allow our people to question them?" It's called a dialogue, and sometimes it helps stop little things like wars. We keep getting these great opportunities to do the right thing, and we keep blowing them.
What do you think?

Hope Americans do not think that all the Iranians are like him.... No war anywhere please...
What's the harm?
Surely letting this clown condemn himself out of his own mouth is better than relying on politicians axe-grinding and spinning their versions of what he's alleged to have said.
And let him visit Ground Zero - maybe then the Iranians will get a clue why you're so pissed off...
It's about Freedom of Speech, no?
