You can pretty much do anything you want to with a friend who has drunk enough to pass out. Even tape his eyes open. This guy snores right throught it!

"The Brave One" * (out of four): Dreadful misfire casts Jodie Foster as a vengeance-fueled vigilante bent on cleaning up a New York that hasn't existed for years.

Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard are both powerful actors worth watching even in the most unworthy circumstances. But neither actor can save "The Brave One" - a vigilante thriller as misguided as its title is innocuous. Directed by Neil Jordan ("The Crying Game") with a plodding, ponderous pace and self-important tone, "Brave One" doesn't even generate the vicarious thrills requires in a revenge drama.
"Mr. Woodcock" **1/2 (out of four): Another addition to the Comedy of Humiliation genre plays like "Meet the Parents" with a lot less warmth.

Billy Bob Thornton's descent into dark comedy caricature continues with "Mr. Woodcock" another addition to the Comedy of Humiliation genre that's thankfully less mean-spirited than his last effort (2006's criminally awful "School for Scoundrels") but not as satirically on-target as his best (2003's gloriously profane "Bad Santa"). "Mr. Woodcock" falls blandly in the middle, playing like a knock off of "Meet the Parents" with a lot less warmth.
- The new Chemical Brothers video is out, and as usual, it has lots of talking fish.
- Cool Daily Show interview with Jodie Foster, on guns, vigilanties, and wet pants.
- I thought Zeppelin already did a reunion show. I gotta cut back on the sauce.
- Kathy Griffin gets censored. Makes spending eternity in Hell seem insignificant.
- And what's the moral of the story, Kids? Right...it's only cheating if you get caught.
