Grand Theft Reality

wktt.jpg

The first time I played Grand Theft Auto III, the violence took me back. I never considered myself ultra sensitive to violence, but the amount of it in the game was overwhelming ... at first. I soon got used to it. Very used to it. I found myself having sex with prostitutes and then killing them and taking their money. I'd drive my car onto crowded sidewalks just to hear the people scream.

Luckily, the lifestyle of Grand Theft Auto never made its way into my personal life. I remained a well-adjusted individual upholding the laws with a solid moral compass. But there was always a part of me that wanted to be IN the game. Today, I got my chance.

Fatblogging Week 5

Ugly Fat Man Big Tummy Funny Pictures Funfry Resize
My weekly fatblogging report.

The last couple of weeks were very hard, especially with a new baby in the house. Traveling back and forth to hospital, working from home, late nights - all very conducive to snacking, and the ease of getting a Wendys meal or a Dunkin Donut, or just kicking back with a beer. Which is why I didn't even weigh myself last week. But it's tame to face the awful truth....

Disappearing Door Concept Car

1-1
I was watching American Inventor on TiVo last night, and continue to be desperately unimpressed with the lack of ingenuity some of these so called inventors seem to have. Maybe the producers of the show realize that there's more fun in the idiots than the crazy geniuses.

So it's really refreshing to see something for sale on eBay that made me go - "WTF? How cool is that???" It's a concept car for Lincoln that was developed 20 years ago, and ordered scrapped by Ford. Luckily it wasn't and now it's for sale. Scroll down the page to see the video. I don't know why but that just fascinates me.

What are these people trying to prove?

Today's breakfast links reminded me of a couple of planned skyscraper projects that seem to show that city planners and architects only have one thing on their mind. Seriously, I know the Empire State Building and the Washington Monument have always been described as phallic symbols but aren't we getting a little blatant here?

This is a building planned for London:

Um, you can't park there.

A report from Ankara, Turkey. No, it wasn’t a woman driver looking for a parking place. The car apparently fell off a bridge overhead and landed on the balcony. At least, that's his story.

Breakfast Links

- If you were wondering if ad agency employees smoked alot of reefer in the 70's...here.
- Do you guys watch Man vs. Wild on Discovery? I turn it on after I've had my bubble bath.
- Following in the footsteps of Christopher Hitchens, Bill Maher is about to tackle religion.
- Another chance to waste 2 minutes doing something dumb...Product shot or money shot?
- And finally, this doesn't even need a witty caption. Well done city planning department.

404 Error

Whoops! We're not sure if it was your fault or ours (probably yours, we're good that way) but you've encountered a FATAL ERROR!!! Or at least, a pretty grumpy one.

Specifically the Latvians who run our server are telling us in a weird accent "Smarty error: [in evaluated template line 5]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'mtfeed' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 580), Comrade!". Ain't life a bitch.

If you want to vent, email our slacker of a webmaster. Otherwise, we'd suggest going back, using search, or clicking around aimlessly on this page like a moron.

Have fun.
