Wed...Thursday is New Comics Day

wed070507_header.jpg

The real Thor, not some stupid clone
Captain America is still dead
College is full of fakers
Elliot Ness, Demon slayer
The things a silverfish can make you do

It's the 4th of July so rather than grill hot dogs in the backyard and watch fireworks I'm going to sit inside at the computer and list the 5 most interesting comics that will be coming out tomorrow(due to the holiday schedule).

I'm such an un-patriotic nerd.

Lunch Hour Veg

starsandstripes.jpg
Happy Fourth of July! While you are preparing the picnic, working, or just taking it easy, you need some music for the holiday. How about Stars and Stripes Forever? No, not the usual philharmonic, but some different takes, today on the veg.

My last Sopranos post ever...probably

portraitSingle.jpg

Three weeks since the blackout at Holsten's, and I wouldn't be thinking about the final episode if it weren't for an article I recently read, which explains in GREAT detail why David Chase was basically hitting us over the head with an eighteen wheeler full of bricks regarding Tony being whacked.

At this blog, we knew Tony was capped because of Bobby saying in an earlier episode how everything would just go black. But I thought the clues ended there. If you were a Sopranos fan, you have to read this article on all the clues Chase threw at us, including:

- The Last Supper
- The color orange
- A big cat
- The onion rings being the best in the state (can't believe I didn't realize that one)
- The way they ATE the onion rings
- Member's only guy
- The name, Journey
- A song about a lonely girl living in a lonely world (hello Widow Soprano)

...and that's just the beginning. Really great article. Check it out.

Film Lovers Will Love This!

Not your typical adult film trailer. This ad, entitled Film Lovers Will Love This! is supplied by EUtube of the European Comission media arm, to promote European films. It’s gotten over a million views in the first two weeks. Some think it’s a waste of taxpayers money, but the other videos are getting but a small fraction of views.

- Design for the Other 90%...An exhibit of the products that help those people in need.
- Would you rather hit Soda Popinksi, or the King of Pop...it's Michael Jackson's Punchout.
- Recently, Diesel put on a fashion show that included holographic fish...that's different.
- And...In that moment, Mr. Bush, you ceased to be the President of the United States.
