Star Wars on Your Television

sw_cw.jpg

Alessandra Ambrosio and Keira Knightley in a hover-car equipped with lasers in an underwater laboratory fighting mutant shark/human hybrids until they're naked (the ladies, not the sharks) whilst Michael Bay-like explosions go off around them. That would be the greatest day ever. Until that day comes, and you know it's only a few short years off, we'll have to count today in the top ten greatest days ever. (As reference, the day I got pubes is #7)

There's more Star Wars coming. And, unlike the last few installments, the only reason the actors appear to be animated is because they are.

We had a taste of animated Star Wars with Genndy Tartakovsky's "Clone Wars," a series of animated shorts that originally appeared on the Cartoon Network. The series was excellent and ultimately did a lot more for the Star Wars universe than the three prequels. George Lucas has decided to switch gears (slightly) and bring us a new 3D animated series known as "Star Wars: The Clone Wars."

The critics seem to be split on the new footage. I'm ready to sign up if for nothing more than the battle scenes in the trailer.
