John Rambo Trailer

I feel like I’ve seen the entire movie now, and it’s a bit, uh, violent. Most of this footage won’t see network TV. John Rambo (Rambo 4) is scheduled for release in May 2008. Wikipedia has a plot synopsis.

Who would have thought that if you wanted to go see a lot of blood and gore in a movie, you would choose Rambo over Hostel 2?!? That trailer looks insane! Absolutely disgusting too!

Jeez. That was a tad violent.

It's also good to know that John Rambo has a lifetime supply of hair dye cached away deep in the jungle.

It looks like the movie makers have tried to create the 'realistic' ultra-violence seen in Saving Private Ryan, to make John Rambo a literally visceral movie. I think they missed the mark badly in that respect. SPR was an emotionally wrenching war epic - (not a particularly good one after a couple of viewings)After First Blood, the Rambo movies are great war cartoons.

The graphic violence is unnecessary; I hope Mr. Stallone tones it down so the film can get its underlying message across: Christians are willing to die for the mandate given by Christ ("go into all the world and make disciples").
