In the last week, two of my kids have each asked questions that made me stop in my tracks because I didn't quite know how to answer them authoritatively, so any one sentence answers you readers ca provide to the following (apart from "shutup, and stop asking so many questions") would be appreciated:
"Daddy, what are we all made of?"
"Daddy, does space go on forever?"
Thanks.

Well... girls are made of Sugar and Spice and Everything nice... and lil boys are made of snips and snails and puppy dog tails.
1A- "well sweetie, you were made of a bottle of bourbon, a backseat of an Impala and a broken condom."
1B- "well sweetie... that depends, most people are made of 80% water?! Isn't that facinating... 80%!!... your mother of course is made of 80% gin and 20% bitter disapointment in me"
2- "No, this has been scientifically proven by your moms fat ass not being able to fit in it!!...
...now does your moms ass go on forever on the other hand?"

I had soething really clever to say, bt this keyboard is issing three very crcial letters.
We are made up of pieces of suns that burned up and exploded a long long time ago.
Space doesn't go on forever, but we can never run out. You see, tiny amounts of new space are being created all the time. It started soooo long ago, though, that no matter how fast you go, you can never get to the end. Some day, faaar in the future, there will be so much space that someone who looks up with see only our galaxy and the rest of it will be so far away that the rest of the stars won't shine anymore!
Ask your mother
Ask your teacher
The same kid asked me a few weeks ago.."Why are there people?"..
I told him to ask his father..
