While American Idol is getting the press for their charity efforts, America's Most Wanted is doing their part, too. Well, not exactly America's Most Wanted. But one of their All-Star nominees. Email from my friend Phil:

My cousin Carl Andolina has been nominated as an America’s Most Wanted All-star (as a police officer, not a criminal). Last December, he was responding to fight in progress when the suspect shot him and his partner. He was able to subdue the suspect until help arrived with a bullet still in his neck. While he has since made a full recovery, his partner remains in critical condition. The contest winner receives a $10,000 cash prize, all of which he will be donating to the family of his partner.
