You can call this column Haterade Gives Back - I am giving back my opinions in what should be an excellent weekend musically with Gwen, Akon, Il Divo, and a ton of special guests.

And yes, the American Idolists will be performing.

Fortunately, the American Idol voting public decided to give us our musical sanity back, as Sanjaya gets sent packing. That increases my record to a very nice 13-5 (and a perfect 6-0 in Dial Idol rules). And now that we finally are looking at this as a musical competition, and not a 'what is Sanjaya going to do to piss SImon off' party, we can focus on the whole point of the show - the singing.

This week, the theme is Anthems. All 6 of them have shown that they can tackle this with no problem. So what happens if all 6 of them happen to perform well (which I think will happen)? Then we swap over to voting base and last week's finishes.

Last week marked the debut in the bottom three for both Lakisha and Blake. Blake will not be making another appearance in the bottom three this week as his fans just got a wake-up call. As long as Lakisha belts out the song and doesn't come out with a goofy hairdo, she will not get knocked out this week, especially since her voters know that she is in trouble. However, while I think that Blake will be competing against Chris to see who stays out of the bottom three, I'm not sure that Lakisha will get enough votes to overtake Jordin or Melinda.

Speaking of the two musical Divas, they are in a little bit of a danger zone this evening. With the voters knowing they have to vote for Lakisha, both of them need to sing great to remind the American public that they need votes, too. Thought it's highly unlikely that we would see either of them in trouble yet, A mediocre effort may convince the voters that Lakisha needs the votes more than they do and could send them into the bottom three - or worse.

Who's going to get the Sanjaya vote? Im guessing that all of those 9 year old girls will be going to Blake, Chris and Jordin, while the Vote For The Worst cult will gravitate towards Phil, who I think is going to be in the greatest danger this week. With the VFTW fanbase not nearly as strong as they have been, and with the 3 pop boys not having as much of a fan base as the 3 r and b girls, combined with all of the time that he has logged in the bottom three, Phil can not afford a bad effort tonight. Even if he has a good effort, he also needs a mistake from someone else, and I'm not sure with this theme that he's going to get one.
