It's been quite a week for Sony. First they made the colossal mistake of threatening to cut off Kotaku for running a rumor they didn't like. And the internet exploded - make sure you read at least some of the comments. Sony cam off like a whining bully, Kotaku the defender of the free press. Good for them and sticking to their guns, until Sony finally caved.
Then, if that wasn't bad enough, this video appeared on YouTube, which in one week ganered over 400k views and over 2000 comments as the debate raged. But no matter how many PS3 fans came to Sony's rescue, I think the damage was done.
It's about time that corporations realized that with the rise of citizen journalism and the communities ability to connect and share a POV, the tide has turned. Now, they need us so much more than we need them.
