As we've discussed, I miss The Magic Hour. (Question #1) How is this not on YouTube? The show aired in 1998, not 1983. Tapes must exist. In fact, I'm relatively certain I had a VHS recording of the infamous Howard Stern appearance. I'm heading over to my parents' house for Christmas, and will scour the video archives.
Here's the problem. Even if I find the tape, I'm unlikely to navigate the complexities of the YouTube upload process. The technological and motivational hurdles are just too great. (Question #2) Is there someone I could mail this tape? The YouTube community – by this I mean anyone who'd get a kick out of Magic's surreal monologue – would benefit immensely by smart people pitching in to digitize. Think of all the pure gold wasting away in closets or attics or boxes in basements. I may not have anything better than The Magic Hour, but I'm just one of thousands who inexplicably taped crap in his youth.
If you have the power, come forward. The world will be a better place.
And if this service is well established already, point me the way.

hey aquaman! if you can find those videos please email me. I'd be happy to digitize them and post to YouTube, if only to get to see them one more time. i've seen only clips, never the whole original bits. too funny.
You, sir, are a true Santa. Keep your fingers crossed that these tapes still exist. Expect an update Monday evening...
Some bad news. I was unable to locate the Magic Hour tape. I will continue the search at sporadic holidays in 2007.
I did find lost VHS treasures like Soul Asylum Unplugged, the 1992 NFL Pro Bowl, several episodes of The John Larroquette Show (an underrated, forgotten show, by the way) and every Morris Knolls high school football game tape from 1994-1997.
