Gideon Television enters the Big Brother House!!!

200612010917
So, remember a while ago we talked about Big Brother in Second Life? Run by Endemol, the creators of the Big Brother franchise, 15 avatars will enter a house on an island in Second Life, and slowly be eliminated until one remains. At the time we made the comment "I wonder if Gideon will apply".

For those who are not regular readers. Gideon is our ascerbic Second Life correspondent, and now I can finally reveal somthing I've know for a few days. Not only did Gideon apply, but from a list of hundreds, he has been accepted, as can be seen from the list of participants posted on the Big Brother Second Life website. 12 girls and three guys - it's either going to be nirvana or hell on earth.

Today at 2pm EST, Gideon will enter the Big Brother house, and will be giving us daily exclusive updates from inside the glass box until his elimination (or he wins, I guess). Watch for his first report later on tonight.

But don't stop there - we need your help.

Contestants get to stay on BB by popular vote - everyone who visits the Big Brother island in Second Life can watch the contestants, and even talk to them, and then vote for which one you want to stay. One vote per visitor per week.

So, if you have a Second Life account (and now is as good a time as any) please PLEASE stop by, say hello to Gideon, and give him your vote. And if you can be in world at 2pm EST, come along to the Big Brother island, watch the event live, including the walk up the red carpet into the house.

From all of us here at YesButNoButyes, we wish him good luck.

A real, official, Big Brother contestant on our writing team. I'm so geeked out.

He'll do great. If you can get ME to sign up for Second Life, anything is possible!

I'll definitely stop by.

The production company has no idea what they are getting into. They better do a cavity search before they let him into that house.

Question: If someone is not able to "be there" live, will there be any accessible record of the proceddings?

I'll try to capture some snaps. I'm sure there will be a lot of photos taken, maybe some video.
