Geek out, friends.

I didn't bother blogging about the recent makeover of Archie comics, as reported on various outlets including Boing Boing, because - well, I just didn't believe it. It all stank a little too much of a marketing ploy, a rerun of new Coke and classic Coke, an attempt to create a public outcry before returning back to the style the "public demanded". Even that cover looked a little fake. Well, this little entry on the Archie blog seems to confirm my suspicions. So now you can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Bill Amend has announced that his daily Foxtrot strip is going Sundays only, negating the main reason I pick up a newspaper anymore. Foxtrot has consistently been one of the funniest syndicated strips around, and I'll really miss it. Although I can sympathize with his need to "get out of the house more".
