See, here's a prime example of why I don't get the Andy Kaufman thing. Anyone else pulls that on a live show, they're an asshole who has a hard time getting another gig. But it's Andy Kaufman, and Andy was just seeing how far he could PUSH THE ENVELOPE. What the fuck?
Let me tell you something, anytime anyone says you "just don't get it", whether it's world politics, or contemporary art, or Andy Kaufman, they're actually getting themselves off right in front of you. Telling themselves how far superior they are to you because they have the insight required to understand what's REALLY going on, and you're just not at their level yet. When in reality, they don't have the slightest freaking idea what's hapening. They're just too chicken-shit to admit it. Anyone ever pulls that on you, check their pants to see if they closed the deal.
