Venom!

200611121800
Remember how we complained earlier in the week that there was no Venom in the Spider-Man trailer that was released last week? Earlier this afternoon some footage was leaked that gives the real deal. Sony are trying to get it pulled, but once something is out there.

I don't know why they're complaining. This is very cool.

Rummy Wallpaper

RummyWallpaper.jpg

I told you this would look good on the desktop.

Thanks to Craig Ferguson, everyone can have a little piece of Rummy. If you haven't seen the clip, it's pretty funny. Check it out, then grab your favorite piece, or choose from one of these four. You can keep it up until the war's over, as a fitting tribute to the man with the plan.

PS: I'm gonna start watching Craig Ferguson more often. There's some funny shit on that show.

Soap Opera Fantasy Leagues

soapopera.jpg
Pick your favorite soap opera characters, and predict what they will do in upcoming episodes. From Reuters:

The Walt Disney Co.'s SoapNet announced the Web-based fantasy site on Friday at its annual Super Soap Weekend in Florida in a bid to attract women aged 18 to 34, and add a social dimension to the six-year-old soap TV channel.

The game works along the same lines as fantasy football, in which real-life players are chosen for virtual teams and results are based on statistics from actual games.

Can this possibly work as randomly as baseball or football games, which are unscripted and broadcast live? And can’t everyone who watches soap operas see what’s coming a mile away? Soapnet is now taking signups, and points begin to accrue tomorrow. It costs $9.99 to play for 10 weeks.

- From Bill Maher, a Farewell to Douchebags makes me wonder how the country survived for six years.
- New York Magazine thinks shows like Lost would be better with a two-year shelf life. Not a bad idea.
- The store with the name I can't pronounce opened this weekend in Soho. You can see all the action here.
- Saw this Gwen Stefani video on VH1, and thought...have I heard this before? Then I remembered...
- And via GMask, this gentleman has discovered a way to get into the backseat without uisng the door.
