And in case anyone didn't know, it's not actually Natalie Imbruglia's Torn. It's Ednaswap's Torn, and here's a particularly spiffy acoustic version, that I think may have been ripped from the Howard Stern show.

You may have seen David Armond’s interpretation of Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn; I think its even been posted here before, but I can’t tell for sure, since the video won’t load for me. However, this full-length performance from Amnesty International’s Secret Policeman’s Ball a couple of weeks ago is worth another look.
Proof that David Brent lives. Probably the funniest (unintentionally) corporate video I've ever seen (via our good friend Clickety Clack)

Hi, it's me Joe Piscopo! Yes it's me, Joe Piscopo!I'm sorry to come into your home like this. I just wanted to make sure that all my friends get out and vote on election day. You know I'm a Democrat but I'm going to vote for Tom Kean.
Always be proud to be from the state of New Jersey. And get out and vote!

Technorati released their regular State of the Blogosphere report today, which shows the number of blog-based sites (like this one) continue to grow at the astonishing rate of over 100,000 a day (or just over one blog every second). Interesting reading, and some nice words about the top blog category, into which YBNBY just scrapes:
The Very High Authority Group (500 or more blogs linking in the last 6 months)
In the final group we see what might be considered the blogging elite. This group, which represents more than 4,000 blogs, exhibits a radical shift in post frequency as well as blog age. ... Some of these are full-fledge professional enterprises that post many, many times per day and behave increasingly like our friends in the mainstream media. As has been widely reported, the impact of these bloggers on our cultures and democracies is increasingly dramatic.
I never made "Elite" level when I used to play Elite on my Atari ST, so it's nice to finally get there somehow. You can always check out our own profle, as well as seeing who has linked to us recently, by viewing our stats at Technorati.

"Little Children" ** (out of four): Disguised as yet another dissection of suburban decay, director Todd Field's tragic misstep rarely rises above the realm of soap opera.

“Little Children” is almost everything director Todd Field’s previous film – 2001’s tragic masterpiece In the Bedroom - is not. Adapted from the novel by Tom Perrotta, who co-wrote the film with Mr. Field, “Children” is another of those examinations of suburban decay which seem to be all the rage since the success of “American Beauty”, but the film is populated with such self-obsessed, distasteful characters, it’s hard to care how or why any of them finds happiness.

- Start with one for Scaramouch. Peace Through Pork strives to solve all world problems through bacon.
- The Borat clip of the day features the weekend box office winner discussing Jews with Howard Stern.
- All potential governors should have an action figure for sale. Just ask Texas hopeful Kinky Friedman.
- Alright, I'm warning you. This is pretty harsh. A guy jumps into a pool from the fifth floor...and misses.
- And last night, the Simpsons got all political. Someone needs to remind them they're on the Fox network.
