Ugh. Tough night to be a fan in New York or a parked car in Detroit.
A few crazy predictions:
+Joe Torre will step aside, and he'll be replaced by Joe Girardi.
+Despite much speculation, Alex Rodriguez will remain in pinstripes for 2007.
+Barry Zito will join the rotation as a free agent.
+Gary Sheffield will not return, and probably never play first base again.
+Detroit fans won't go too crazy with the rioting tonight. But an increased number of cars will be torched after they beat the A's. Luckily, the Mets will beat the Tigers in six games, leaving no excuse for random violence.

*cough* tigers win *cough*
Well, that was embarassing. Is there any room on that Mets bandwagon ...?
When it's an A's-Cards World Series, I expect you'll eat one large crow. And you don't get to use any seasonings.
Foregone conclusions are the mother of ridiculousness.
Dude. What's with the tourching car thing. Nothing like that has happend in Detroit in 20 years. 20 YEARS! And there has been quite a few championship in that time......Stanely Cups and NBA Championships a plenty.
i saw no violence or riots after the game....we didn't even burn any cars. bitter yankee fan
I think Aqua was making a statement about fan celebrations, in general. Either that, or he thought Artest might come back.
Surely, Detroit will win the World Series.
