Driving back to the office after lunch, I figured I'd listen to whatever Rush Limbaugh is squealing about these days. Rush was on a tear about an indie movie called Death of a President, which apparently depicts the assassination of President Bush and premieres this month at the Toronto Film Festival. He referenced a controversy over a cereal commercial that shows a man riding a dog (I tried finding the commercial or the supposed controversy, but came up with zilch), and complained that liberals (of course), are all up in arms about this commercial because it might inspire kids to attempt to ride their dogs and how come these people aren't also railing against this movie.
The answer, Mr. Limbaugh, is obvious:
PEOPLE LOVE DOGS.

Muggler, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only sane person that turns on Limbaugh in the car at lunch just to make myself angry. I missed this particular rant but it's a familiar pattern for him, making arguements that don't hold up to any sort of scrutiny. I'm actually convinced that, like Ann Coulter, he doesn't believe half of what he goes on about. It's just sad that so many people, like his simple-minded callers, actually do believe it and belive in him when it's all just a show simply to get ratings.
