Bob Schieffer is a network news icon and a heck of a nice guy. Last night was the last show of his year and a half anchor gig, where he passed the baton to Ms. Couric. I missed it, but there's a clip from the final moments here.
I'll never forget his line on the Colbert Report regarding the age of the CBS viewing demographic...Many households counted in the ratings for the CBS morning program are actually people who died in the middle of the night with their tv's on.
Cool guy.
