The Smoke Tree

Via We Make Money Not Art, what happens when trees are no longer able to turn carbon dioxide into the oxygen we need to breathe? Smoke Tree is a new virtual sculpture by John Gerrard, in which the foliage of a tree produces carbon in place of oxygen.

You wouldn't think a tree chimney could be beautiful, but obviously that's not the case.
