
Via Gothamist, The Good Life: New Public Spaces for Recreation explores the reinvention of public urban spaces (ie: the high line) to meet the needs of 21st century recreation. (I've got 21st century recreational needs) Architects and designers represented include Diller & Scofidio, Acconci Studio, SHoP, Hood Design and many others. The show is at Hudson River Park's Pier 40 and features video, gaming, panels and food from Florent.
And the second annual Art Parade marches down Grand Street this weekend This thing is a trip. And I've got the 700 Flickr photos to prove it. If you're in Soho on Saturday, check it out.
