I was emptying out my pockets this morning and I discovered the quarter pictured above. It has enameled artwork featuring baseball player Corey Patterson. Isn't it illegal to doll up money with this sort of bullshit?

Aquaman, you're a sports guy. Can you give me an explaination for this nonsense?

Corey Patterson is leading the American League in stolen bases this year, his first with the Baltimore Orioles after six seasons with the Cubs.

His annual salary is 11.2 million quarters. However, I'm not sure his .256 lifetime average makes him coin-worthy. If Corey Patterson gets a coin, who's next? Minnesota Timberwolves forward Eddie Griffin? (Do a Google News search of "Eddie Griffin" for details. I don't want the spambot to disallow this heavily researched comment.)
