My friend Dr. Gori had a brillant epiphany after watching the new Pirates of the Caribbean flick....that we've seen this 2nd film in a trilogy before, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away.
Both movies even end the same way, Han Solo in carbonite and Johnny Depp in...well, I guess you just have to see the movie.

I thought the exact same thing! The credits rolled, and I said to my kids "That WAS The Empire Strikes Back." Which made no sense to them, because they know it as episode 5.
Agree completely. You can add Davy Jones=Jabba the Hut, Norrington=Lando Calrissian and Bill Turner=Ben Kenobi to the list.
Also has a real Indiana Jones feel at the start.
