Feeling... totally underwhelmed. I was a huge Pink Floyd fan as a kid and had heard about this for years. After viewing this I can honestly say I think you could drop Dark Side behind a rerun of 'Saved by the Bell' and gotten just as much synchronicity.
I think this is a testament to the phenomenal, multi-layered songwriting and production of Pink Floyd than any intended homage to Oz.
My girl and I took a look at this video this weekend. My comment? In the 80s lotsa people took acid, some people took acid and watched the Wizard of OZ, a few even took acid and watched the Wizard of OZ while listening to Pink Floyd. All it takes is that one magic moment for you to think you have crossed over into understanding. I do like the part where the witch rides in and the chimes start.
Going long.. Makes me wish a band would make an album to coincide with a movie. I vote Mars Volta and a Felinni movie.
