That picture of Bush makes me want to vomit. I've been reading about turn of the century politics and it's amazing how little things change. Back then, they would hire bums, send them to vote, then give them haircuts, send them back in to vote, then shave their beards, send them back in to vote again, etc. They would also post guys with bats at the polling places who would chase off anyone intending to vote for the wrong party. Now we have voting machines, and purged voter lists. The tactics are slightly less obvious but essentially unchanged.
