The Violent Years has everything you'd expect from a movie written by Ed Wood Jr. -- stilted dialog, tight sweaters, bad staging, tight sweaters, obvious moralizing, poor acting, and tight sweaters.
The actors look 10 years older then the characters they are playing, especially in the Girl Gang Terrorists sequence of the trailer, where it looks like a bunch of angry PTA moms tearing up classroom.
There's some great marketing hype on display here, such as the words Terrifying Realism! Claws at Your Unbelieving Mind! flying over a static shot of a woman sitting in the back seat of a car.
And the stinger VO at the end is a classic grindhouse pitch, probably added during one of the many reissues of the film under a variety of names.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 had a great run at this movie, but the original is available on Something Weird DVD.
See what happens behind locked doors of a PAJAMA PARTY!
