The Grindhouse - The Rape of the Sabines

This 1961 cheesy sword and sandals flick is notable only for the appearance of a pre-Bond Roger Moore. The trailer, on the other hand, is a definite Grindhouse classic. As evidence I present:

  • The hilarious reaction of the Roman soldier when he cuts a woman's top off and catches a peek at her boob.
  • The voice over line: "While some young ladies resented it, there were others who delighted in... The Rape of the Sabines!"
  • The ecstatic tone of the narrator's voice every time he says "The Rape of the Sabines!"
  • The claim "One of the bawdiest stories in history, made acceptable for the entire family by a delightful cast!"
  • The tagline: "A tender, warm, very warm, and hilarious comedy!"

Would you believe Roger Moore actually called this his "worst" movie? I guess he didn't actually see Boat Trip.
