300 extra points for smacking Lauren Bacall

00307
First The Godfather, now The Sopranos come to a game console near you. To be delivered in time for Xmas, gamers will play as the illegitimate son of “Big Pussy” working his way through the world of the NJ mob, including the Bada Bing

So Pussy Bastard meets Pussy Galore.

I kill myself sometimes.

Ten Neglected 70's Songs For Your Next Mixtape

8Track
(This article was submitted by our field correspondent, Johnny Chicago)

We all collect music, and it's been getting easier and easier for some time now. I can still remember putting the old Panasonic tape recorder up to the speaker and putting “Kashmir” by Zeppelin and “Lay Down Sally” by Clapton right next to each other on the same mixtape.

Well, folks, I've got over 2, 000 essential songs saved on the computer and on disc. However, I want to share with you 10 great songs from the 70's that I can't stop listening to at least once a day. I've also given you the reasons why you should have them in your portable 8-track player - uh, I mean, iPod.

TokyoPlastic Does Metal

200605081131
We've featured the amazing TokyoPlastic here several times before (although I don't think I ever got around to posting their recent animation, The Little Fella). Now they've teamed up with Saatchi & Saatchi to create three new TV spots for Toyota: MP3, Spider and Piggy

Geek TV

I spent the weekend editing some footage I shot at last year's Baltimore Comic Convention, and I'm pretty happy with the result. Here's Episode One of “Just how hard is it to get an Adam Hughes sketch?”. Only comic book geeks need watch.

The Mighty Boosh

boosh.jpg

Big thanks to Nixta for turning me on to yet another great BBC television show THE MIGHTY BOOSH

From the website:
The Mighty Boosh is a show about two zoo keepers, Howard Moon and Vince Noir, who work at the Zooniverse, a dilapidated but magical zoo. Its is run by Bob Fossil, a demented American with a military disposition. Each week they get involved in a different adventure. Whether they end up in the Arctic Tundra or Monkey Hell they somehow always manage to get the zoo back intact...

The Cockney banter and pop culture references are top notch.

My favorite character is actually the zoo manager Bob Fossil, who doesn't know the names of the animals so he says things like:
"You know the guy with the little arms and the big pocket, you know, with the little version of himself in the front pocket" = Kangaroo

"Grey leg-face man" = Elephant

"Hands for feet man" = Gorilla

"The long mover, the windie man" = Snake

Season 1 and 2 are available on DVD through Amazon in the UK. Get yourself a multi-region dvd player if you don't already have one. (psst, peer-to-peer)

It's 'The Bolt', Bring Ear Plugs

lb10.jpg

This is Lightning Bolt and they have come to destroy you. And, believe it or not, the beating issued, comes from only two guys. One bassist that barely moves and a drummer in a modified Mexican wrestling mask with a mic in the mouthpiece... that's it. With just a bass and drums, these guys have created the densest sound imaginable.

404 Error

Whoops! We're not sure if it was your fault or ours (probably yours, we're good that way) but you've encountered a FATAL ERROR!!! Or at least, a pretty grumpy one.

Specifically the Latvians who run our server are telling us in a weird accent "Smarty error: [in evaluated template line 5]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'mtfeed' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 580), Comrade!". Ain't life a bitch.

If you want to vent, email our slacker of a webmaster. Otherwise, we'd suggest going back, using search, or clicking around aimlessly on this page like a moron.

Have fun.
